Royal Dean Ness

Royal Dean Ness, age 68, of Lincoln, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024. Royal was born, the second of a set of triplets, July 5, 1955 to Vernelle and Bernadine Ness in Bottineau, North Dakota. Roy was a graduate of Lincoln East High School in the Class of 1973. He attended Meadow Lane Elementary, Culler Junior High, and Lincoln East High School.

Roy was a well-respected member of the construction industry, ending his career as a tile contractor. He was able to fix all things mechanical, especially vehicles. He was a good and true friend to all that knew him. Roy always gave freely to all and it came naturally and willingly. If you knew him, we all can easily agree that he was such a sweet soul that we shall miss.

Roy is preceded in death by his father and mother, Vernelle J Ness and Bernadine S Ness.

Roy is survived and remembered by siblings, Velma (Bob) Lassen of Lincoln, Lloyd (Mary) Ness of Edmond, OK, Robert (Shelley) Ness of Kearney, and Renee Ness Paul of Lincoln; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Royal will be Sunday, January 21, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. A celebration of life for Royal will be 2:00 pm Monday, January 22, 2024 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S 14th St., Lincoln, NE 68512.
