Sandy grew up in Hamilton, OH where she graduated from Taft High School in 1972. She attended Cincinnati Art Academy and excelled in drawing. She worked in administration for a couple different government locations, starting with Nebraska Game & Parks and retiring in 2003 from the Nebraska Department of Roads. While working for the Department of Roads she met Fred Beck. They were married on September 19, 2005.
She was an outgoing woman with the ability to easily make friends. Her passion was the outdoors. Whether that involved camping, hiking, gardening but especially being near water. She also loved to visit the mountains of Colorado.
She is preceded in death by her parents and survived by her husband Fred Beck; brothers: Bob Zix, Dan Zix and his wife, Marvalyn.
