Shirley J Dively, 92, of Lincoln died October 15, 2022. She was born at home to August and Thelma Lange on January 20, 1930. She grew up in the Syracuse NE area and graduated from Palmyra High School. She married Darrell Dively on September 25, 1947. She worked side by side with her husband on the dairy farm north of Douglas for 25 years. She supported her daughters’ school activities and was a member of the Douglas Jr Women’s Club. In May of 1970, she began working in the office at Eastmont Towers. Her husband also got a job at Eastmont Towers, so they moved to Lincoln in 1971. She acquired her Assisted Living Administrator license and would perform the role of the Administrator as needed. Her career of 25 years at Eastmont Towers was one of her proudest accomplishments. After retirement, she and her husband enjoyed bus tours to various parts of the US. She was a member of Heritage Presbyterian church.
Survivors: Daughters: Sherry (Steve) Kirkland (Lansing, KS); Debora Brugman of Lincoln; Granddaughter: Christy (Lansing, KS); Sister: Cheryl (Bob) McCracken, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Dively; Parents: August and Thelma Lange; Granddaughter Jennifer Brugman, Son-in-law Mike Brugman, Sister Veryl Cheatum and Brothers: Merlin, Gary, and Ron Lange.
Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at: Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S 14th St, Lincoln, NE
Visitation: Fri, Oct 21, 6:00 – 8:00 pm with family present
Funeral services: Sat, Oct 22, 2:00 pm
Interment immediately following service at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.
