

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Virginia Ann Danczak, aged 89, from Lincoln, Nebraska on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Virginia is survived by her son Kevin Danczak (Charlyne Tsou) of Winnetka, California; her daughter Elizabeth Brodersen (Brett Brodersen) of Lincoln, Nebraska; her granddaughter Devin Peci (Ivor Peci) of Lincoln, Nebraska; her great granddaughters, Remi and Ivy Peci of Lincoln, Nebraska; her sister Shirley Engel of Richland, Nebraska. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Leon Danczak.
On June 9th, 2026 a visitation (5 p.m. thru 7:00 p.m.) and rosary (7:00 p.m. thru 7:30 p.m.) will be held at the Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68512.
On June 10th, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. a Catholic mass will take place at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ, 3500 Sheridan Blvd, Lincoln Nebraska, followed by a 12 p.m. reception and a 1:45 p.m. interment/burial at the Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home 6800 S 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68512.
Virginia was born on August 28, 1937 to parents Arthur and Anna Jones in Seward, Nebraska and grew up on the farm. After She graduated from Ulysses High School, Virginia moved to Lincoln, where she entered into a career with Lincoln Telephone & Telegraph.
She met her husband, Leon while living in Lincoln, Nebraska, and they married on November 3, 1962, going on to have two children, Kevin and Elizabeth.
After Virginia retired, she continued managing the two family farms and traveling to various places with Leon. She loved spending time with her granddaughter Devin, with her family, friends, and her dog Pepper.
She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing. Her quick wit, sense of humor, banter, curiosity and caring nature endeared her to others and will be missed by many. Virginia's absence will be long felt and her voice not soon forgotten.
