

William Carl Logan, Sr. died on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at his home in Lincoln. He was born on December 12, 1946 in Glenwood, Iowa to Clyde and Rose (Hall) Logan. Carl has lived in Lincoln for most of his life. He married LaVay M. Ireland on December 3, 1966 in Lincoln. He worked most of life as a welder, working at Capital Steel for over 30 years and also at Lincoln Steel and Apollo Steel. Carl loved NASCAR, fishing, camping and country music. He is survived by his wife, LaVay, daughter, Christine Prokop of Lincoln, son, William Carl Logan, Jr. of Lincoln, grandson, Brandon Prokop, brother, Lawrence and Eva Hall of Hastings, Iowa, brother, James Dean Logan of Lincoln, sisters, Nancy and Jack Fesler of Colon, Nebraska, Irene and Tom Luick of Lincoln, Kathy and Mark Schafer of Lincoln, Sarah and William Berry of Loup City, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Martha and Becky Logan. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday all at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Pathways to Compassion of Lincoln.
