Anyone who was blessed to know Annilise knew she was a very soft-spoken, gentle person who always put everyone else’s needs above herself. Her selfless nature touched many of us and left us feeling as though we lost a fierce protector and a champion for our success in life. But even with her passing we will always continue to have the love and guidance of our Matriarch through the countless memories she has left us with.
Annilise was born on December 3rd, 1945 to Anaïse and Clovis Perotte. She was raised in the scenic coastal town of MontRouis, Haiti along with her brother Abner and two sisters Christine & Clocia. As children of a farmer, they grew up with hardworking ethics and fierce determination.
In 1968 she married Anthony Blaise. In the following decade they went on to have four children, Michaelle, Erline, Shirley & Bertonine. The fierce determination she was raised with led to Annilise immigrating to the United States to join her husband and brother, where the family worked hard to provide a better life for their children.
In the 90s, Annilise’s life took another eventful turn as she became a devoted grandmother, which was only the beginning of what would become a sprawling family of nine grandkids. She was an attentive grandmother who spent countless nights rocking babies to sleep, to rearing toddlers, then to guiding teenagers again. Her grandchildren have as deep a love for her as her children do.
Later in life, Annilise enjoyed going for daily walks in the park, cooking healthy meals and, as she did all of her life, continuing to care for her loved ones. She was a beautiful, loving and empathetic woman with a soft heart for everyone. She will be greatly missed and her loving memory will live in our hearts until we meet again.
Annilise is survived by her four daughters Michaelle Cadet, husband Martelly Cadet, Marie Erline Blaise, Shirley Blaise & Bertonine Blaise, husband Stanley Bazile. Her Brother Abner Perotte and nine grandchildren; Marley Cadet, Jayson Blaise-Spatola, Measha Cadet, Maxson Cadet, Alexander Blaise-Spatola, Serhenna Bazile, Jazlynn Quainoo, Kalvin Quainoo and Sylus Bazile.
She is also survived by many family members that she held close to her heart. Her nephews Dr. Schubert Perotte and Dr. Adler Perotte. Her nieces Vania Perotte, Sonia Nazaire, Nancy William and Ederne William Dieudonné. And her beloved cousin, and best friend Esperanta Derius.
Annilise was predeceased by her parents Clovis & Anaïse Perotte, and her sisters Christine Perotte & Clocia Perotte William.
This is not goodbye. It is rest and see you later, by the sure beautiful promise of the resurrection from God.
