Barbara Ann Cost

Barbara Ann Cost of Roselle Park, NJ, was a beloved matriarch whose warm spirit and infectious laughter touched the lives of everyone around her. Barbara loved to cook and was known for her homemade comfort meals that brought family and friends together around the dinner table. Her sharp wit and ability to find humor in everyday moments made every gathering enjoyable.

Barbara's heart was big enough to embrace love twice in her lifetime. She was married to Dieter Carl Cost for 40 wonderful years, creating a rich tapestry of memories before his passing. Later in life, she found joy once more with Thomas Amato, with whom she shared 23 cherished years of companionship.

Barbara leaves behind her daughter Marianne Sales and her husband Michael Sales and her son, William Cost and his partner Dorothy Scarpelli. Instilling in them the values of love, kindness, and family. She celebrated life as a proud grandmother to Andrew Sales and his wife Amy Sedlak, and Jonathan Sales and his wife Niharika Katuwal, always reveling in the joy of family gatherings and creating lasting memories.

Barbara had a deep passion for the Jersey Shore, spending summers in Lavalette where she enjoyed the sun, sand, and quality time with those she loved. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and delicious meals that will be fondly remembered. Predeceased by her stepbrother Arthur Williams and her brother Raymond Williams, as well as her dear friends Marianne Stephans and Shirley Gabrielson,

Barbara's life was a testament to resilience and the power of love. She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A memorial mass for Barbara will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Genevieve's Church, 200 Monmouth Rd, Elizabeth, NJ 07208. Following the memorial mass will be a committal service at 11:30 AM at Saint Gertrude Cemetery & Mausoleum, 53 Inman Ave, Woodbridge Township, NJ 07067.
