My deepest sympathy to my Classmate Chuky and family. It's  such a small world,  I remember your Dear Mother from United Hospitals. My Dear Mother (Lillie Mae Shaver Ensley)  was her supervisor before she passed in 1988. Praying for strength and comfort at such a sad time.

My dearest Mima, Your love was the very essence of the words unconditional, unlimited and overflowing.  You've taught me so much about strength, courage, forgiveness and above all LOVE. I will always remember your voice and the bright smile on your face whenever you saw me. I'll miss the most comforting, tender warm hugs and kisses. My heartfelt condolences to all of the family and friends of Mima. I've had the pleasure of meeting her at a few family functions, and the one thing that I noticed was that she had a zest for life. She enjoyed having fun, and its infused in her family. Every family member I've ever met was loving, and fun to be around.

As you mourn her transition, please keep her spirit alive by sharing stories, good and sad, and above all, love life!



I always enjoyed going to her house on Sunday’s  with Ramon. She was the best cook!! Mima and everyone  always made me feel welcome. I always cherish the memories of spending time with her and the family. What a lovely woman.  May you all find peace knowing she lived a long and beautiful life with such amazing family/friends. This  is one time my words will not go together my mouth is stuck and my brain is on memory log. I loved my sister so much that there aren't any words I haven't said before to make me feel better. I 🙏 and I know she is with the 👼 in heaven because she was one here on earth. She was so well 💘 but what 😥 me is the fact the I will not hear the words Alita Barrett u didn't call me yesterday and I would laugh. What was very special to and what I will miss at the end of our conversation she will say I 💘 u and that meant so much to me.Dolores I miss u already but my ❤ says u will always b n my heart. Thanks for loving your little sister and showing how much u did. The memories I will always cherish. Love your baby sister Alita.

We are family and have been every since we were children. I want to extend my deepest condolences to the Barrett family. I am so sorry for your loss. I pray the Lord gives you the strength to start your healing.  May God continue to bless your family.

I am happy to be apart of Bootsie's life.  it saddens my heart and I get choked up writing this.  Bootsie has always made me feel welcome and loved, I said to her on many occasions she felt like a mother to me and with her big smile and big hugs she would say she was. I do believe I'm a lot like her because you will not see gray hair on my head  and I too  love to dance salsa lol .  She has always been  a lady of elegant and style.  Dance should have been her name.
She loved salsa and old school salsa music " Fania all stars " that's where it all begin !!! when I hear  Willie Colon and Hector Lavoe song La Murga reminds me of her dancing in the kitchen, so to this day that song bring good memories that makes me smile.

I remember going over  to her house all of the time when I was younger and she was always so welcoming and loving. I love your family and how big it is and how loving everyone is. It was always a warm, comforting place to be. She will be missed ❤️

Mima always made everyone she met feel loved and adored. She also made everyone feel at home and was eager to share a conversation. I loved her so much and inspire to be like her! She was one of the kindness people I ever met and touched everyone she met! She will forever live on in my heart!
