Edith attended Union Jr. College and graduated from Packard College, NY. She was a former member of the Jr. Women’s Club of Elizabeth.Edith was active for many years in the Roselle Park PTA. Also a former co-leader for the brownies and a former Cub Scout den mother.
For many years she was a volunteer in several patterning programs in surrounding communities for brain damaged children.
She was a member of Elmora Presbyterian Church, and also an enthusiastic poet, gardener and insatiable reader.
She is survived by her three children, Pamela Nelson (Donald), Judith Rienzo (Richard) and son Barrett Matiez (Lisa) and two grandchildren, Anthony Rienzo (Candice), Nicholas Rienzo (Heather) and four great grandchildren Mia, Alessandra, Niko and Beckham. Edith was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother. She always wore a smile and had a kind word. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
