Frank was born on July 18, 1930 in Newark, New Jersey, to the late Gus Delfinis and Margaret Matyas. Frank was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. Frank was the owner of a shoe repair business that was passed down from his father that operated from 1929 to 1997. He also served as an usher at St. Genevieve's church before moving to Manahawkin 20 years ago.
Franks wife Helen was his whole life. She was the center of his world for over the 50 years they were together. Frank was proud to be a Veteran, and also enjoyed traveling, working around the house, going down the shore with his family, sitting at the Barnegat lighthouse, reading, and was an avid Mets and Devil’s fan.
Frank is predeceased by his loving wife, Helen. He is survived by a son Frank S. Delfinis; 3 daughters, Kathleen (Thomas) Sullivan, Debra (Arthur) Tommins, Patricia Stegmeier; 5 grandchildren, Stephen, Carolyn, Peter, Christopher, Patrick; 7 Great-Grandchildren, Lyla, Amber, Kylie, Mykayla, Chase, Caylin, Crew.
A visitation for Frank will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, September 19, 2019, 9:00 am from the funeral home. Funeral mass will be held at St. Genevieve’s Church, Elizabeth 10:00 am, with Interment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.
