Gertrude L. Borno

Gertrude L. Borno, 89, affectionally known as Zette, passed away at home in New Jersey on October 14, 2024. Zette was born in Leogane, Hati. Zette was born to late Eloi Lorquet and Vianna Lemaire. Zette was married to Vilvert Roberson till his passing on June 25, 1975. She moved to Brooklyn NY and went to school and graduated as a IBM Keypunch Operator. Zette worked in New York as a seamstress for many years till she retired. She later remarried to Jean Borno and moved to New Jersey with him and her son. Zette was known to be a beautiful, kind, caring, generous and loving person that always bridged our families together. She loved everyone the same. She always loved to cook for everyone that was her passion making everyone happy. She was an active member and participated in many church events for Saint Joseph The Carpenter Church. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her brother Gerard Lorquet, brother Ludjet Lorquet, sister Rosemarie Rodriguez. In addition, the surviving members are her son Patrick Roberson and Lorquet family, Roberson family, Cantave family and Extended family.

A visitation for Gertrude will be held Friday, October 25, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at KROWICKI MCCRACKEN FUNERAL HOME, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036. A prayer service will take place Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Saint Joseph the Carpenter Church, 140 E 3rd Ave, Roselle, NJ 07203. A committal will follow Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Rosedale Cemetery, 750 E Linden Ave, Linden, NJ 07036.
