It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John V. Serafinas, 72 of Roselle, NJ.
John passed away at home peacefully on March 18th, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born In Elizabeth, NJ and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School.
While working at K&R Tool in Roselle, NJ as a machinist he also completed a 16-week pre-apprentice training course in tool and die making at Arthur L. Johnson Regional High School in Clark, NJ.
After 31 years, K&R Tool closed the company and John went on to work for UMDNJ/Rutgers in Newark, NJ for 17 years and retired in 2019. John was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed doing so with his family. He liked bocce ball and loved country music. One of his all time favorites was “Elvira” by The Oak Ridge Boys. He loved having pets in the home.
John was predeceased by his parents John and Marija Serafinas. He leaves behind his loving wife of 52 and a half years Deborah, and his son Mark and daughter-in-law Josephine and his daughter Kelley. He also leaves behind two precious grandchildren, Mitchell and Deanna. He also leaves behind his brother Joseph Dudutis and sister Ann and brother-in-law Bill Garcia as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for John will be held Sunday, March 24, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral on Monday, March 25, 2024, 9:00 am at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, followed by interment at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
