Julian John Hilongos

Julian (Stormy) Hilongos, age 64, of Clark, New Jersey passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025 surrounded by family. He was born January 16, 1961 in Elizabeth, New Jersey to Julian and Anna Hilongos. Julian is survived by his loving wife, Gigi, 3 sons, Julian, Jeffrey and Justin, daughter in-law Fran, mother, Anna, brother, Bob Hilongos, wife, Mary, and children, Bobby, Erin, and Ryan, sister, Sharon Acosta, husband, Steve, and children, Katie, Lena, and Steven, brother-in-law Gary Simonelli and wife Donna.

Following in his father’s footsteps, his calling was in law enforcement, where he served for the City of Elizabeth Police Department for 35 years, where he retired as a Sergeant. In his time with the EPD he also served as PBA delegate, and SOA President. After retirement he joined the Clark Township Police Department where he served as a Special Officer Class II. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and boating in Forked River on the Barnegat Bay, playing golf with his 3 sons, brother and friends, as well as playing a weekly game of poker. He was also a loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

A memorial service for Julian will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at KROWICKI MCCRACKEN FUNERAL HOME, 2124 East Saint Georges Ave, Linden, NJ 07036, followed by a prayer service from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
