 Obituario de Michael Hayden
On the beautiful day of January 11, 2023, the Hayden family lost a gentle giant with the passing of Michael Lee Hayden of Union, NJ formerly from West Orange, NJ. He was a quiet, yet simple man that often kept to himself but marveled at the world and courageously embarked on many journeys to fulfill his curiosities about places that he would oFen read about. When he wanted to go to China, he took it upon himself to learn how to speak the language so that he would feel free to be amongst the people and navigate their land. He was always willing to learn and try different things especially when it stoked his interest. Michael had a love of learning and sort knowledge as he would research any and everything before hastily making any decisions. He was also an honorable man, he served as a Reserved Commission Officer in the grade of 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army. He was honorably discharged on February 3, 1961. As a graduate of City College in New York, NY. He went on to work at Blend Pharmaceutical in Brooklyn, NY for more than 25 years. After retiring from that company, he later went on to work for Liberty Drugs of Chatham, NJ as a medical livery person and continued to work until he was 85 years old. He felt work was so fulfilling and he enjoyed being out and about meeting people daily while also being able to ensure that they had the medicine/medical supplies that they needed. He worked for them for approximately 20 years. He was predeceased by his Mother Daisy Edleman and Father Michael Hayden. Michael was married to Francis Hayden for 32 years, she predeceased him in 2018. He leaves to this world his beautiful children Barbara Hayden of Raleigh, NC and her two children Athill Carr (Great grandson Amir) and Syan Farrar who predeceased him on June 1, 2022. He also leaves his son Eric Hayden, his daughter in law, Kimberly Scott-Hayden and his granddaughters Sanaa Hayden, Anaiyah Scott and Najirah Bailey, his daughter Sharon Allen of Raleigh, NC, son in law Timothy Allen, grandsons Travaris Allen and Bernard Allen also of North Carolina. Michael also leaves behind his two loving sisters Barbara and Eileen, their children, Cindy, Eileen, Lori and Karen. A host of other family members that I am sure will cherish the fond memories of our beloved Michael Lee Hayden. Fly high and rest now dad, you fought the good fight and made your impact on our lives and those who knew you and for that we are forever grateful for the memories we had together, we know that your memory will be a blessing to all who knew you.
