Olga Gomez, of Elizabeth NJ, was born in 1925 during a challenging period in Santiago de Cuba. She began working at a young age to assist her mother in supporting the household and her four younger siblings. A modest woman, she was deeply religious and possessed a gentle spirit. In 1968, they left Cuba and spent two years in Honduras, where her family provided support to help her progress. She had a great appreciation for classical music and enjoyed dancing to Cuban rhythms.
In 1970, she relocated to the United States with her husband and children. A dedicated mother and homemaker, she also engaged in political activities, assisting candidates in their elections.
Olga is survived by her sons, Manuel and Daniel, as well as her daughters-in-law, Mayra and Betsy. Additionally, she is survived by her grandchildren, Manuel Jr., Daniel Jr., and Megan. She also had four siblings: Mirtha, Mary, Silvia, and Tony. Her nieces and nephews, Mirtica, Silvita, Tere, Salvadorsito, Pablito, and Candido, were always very affectionate towards their aunt.
