

Raymond was born in Elizabeth, N.J. on August 31, 1937 to Stanley and Agnes (Burns) Milewski. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, Elizabeth. After graduation, Raymond was employed at Western Electric Kearny, N.J. He later worked for many years in the mixing department at the Burry Biscuit Corporation, maker of Girl Scout Cookies and baked goods. Raymond also worked as a bartender at the family-owned Blue Moon Tavern in Elizabeth and, in later years, at Decker’s Tavern in Rahway, N.J.
Raymond was a longtime communicant of St. Hedwig Church, Elizabeth. In 1960, Raymond was the first groom to be married in the new edifice of St. Hedwig Church to his loving wife, Carolyn (Kwiatek) Milewski.
Raymond was a member of the St. Hedwig Bingo Committee and spent many evenings calling numbers at the weekly parish games.
Raymond was also an usher at Sunday Mass for many years.
Through the years Raymond resided in Elizabeth, Union and was a resident of Bayville, N.J. for more than a decade. Raymond was an avid fisherman and crabber. He loved gardening and watching his favorite sports teams and classic movies on TV.
Above all, Raymond cherished his time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
Raymond was predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years Carolyn (Kwiatek) Milewski, brother Theodore Milewski and sister Carol Leschick.
Raymond leaves behind his children, son Raymond Jr. and his wife Susan; son Stephen and his wife Debra; daughter Dianna D’Alessandro and her husband Tony; son Michael and his wife Tara; his cherished grandchildren Stephen Jr. and wife Sarah; Kathryn and Raymond Milewski III; Marissa and Anthony D’Alessandro; Michael Jr. and Sophia Milewski; and adored great-granddaughter Madelyn Milewski. Raymond also is survived by his sister, Joan Davis; his sisters-in-law, Eleonore Schneider and Barbara Kwiatek; and his many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 1 to 4pm at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 E. St. George Avenue, Linden, N.J.; (908) 352-9190. Funeral to follow on Monday, December 15, 2025 at 9am from the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Hedwig Church, Elizabeth, N.J. at 10 a.m. Interment will be at 11:30 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Linden, N.J.
