Theresa E Kowalski

Theresa was born in Elizabeth, NJ and lived in Linden most of her life where she graduated from Linden High School. She was employed for many years as a secretary for the Linden Board of Education and later as a bookkeeper at Topper Toys, Adam Metal and Alcoa Aluminum all in Elizabeth. Upon her retirement, she moved to Toms River together with her sister Johanna Vella, who pre-deceased her in 2015. They had a close and beautiful relationship which meant so much to both of them. Theresa enjoyed baking, watching old movies and spending time with family and friends.

She is pre-deceased by her mother Ursula (Nycek), father Leon Kowalski and seven siblings.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

She lived a quiet, simple life and was a beloved aunt to Judy Vella, her husband Luis Menendez, Nick Vella, Michael Vella and his wife Edith, celebrating family functions and holidays together through the years.

Funeral Services will be held Monday June 8th, 2020. As requested by the family, this visitation will be private.
