
Lewiston - Carolyn M. Foster, 92, of Lisbon Falls, passed away on Wednesday October 26, 2011 at Central Maine Medical Center. She was born in Lisbon Falls on April 11, 1919, a daughter of the late George and Annie (Zaydak) Yenco. She was educated in Lisbon Falls schools graduating from High School in 1936. She worked for Western Union in Lewiston for a short time. She married Harrison Foster on September 14, 1940 and they lived in Lewiston for four years before moving back to Lisbon Falls in 1944 to raise their young family. Carolyn was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish and for several years, she was a very active and proud member of The Lisbon Historical Society. She was a very busy homemaker and mother to her three children and she enjoyed working in her flower garden. The only thing she enjoyed more than gardening was spending precious time with her family. Carolyn is survived by her sons: Benjamin Foster and his wife Ellen of Lisbon Falls, and George Foster with whom she made her home, of Lisbon Falls, one daughter Nancy Foster-Wolf of Lisbon Falls, a granddaughter: Sara Daigle and her husband Brian, great-granddaughter: Kayla Daigle, her nephew Michael Yenco and his wife Terri, two nieces: Mary Hodgkins and her husband Ron and Susan Gerlek. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Harrison Foster, her sister Margaret Allen and her brother Edward Yenco.
