

DURHAM: Gonzague “Brud” Desrosiers, 75, passed away Friday morning with his wife by his side. He was born on February 10, 1937 in Pejepscot, Maine a son of Gerard and Ruth (Ordway) Desrosiers. Brud grew up in the Brunswick area and attended Brunswick schools. He was also a long time employee with Bath Iron Works as a Lead Man after his discharge from the Marine Corps. Brud was a member of the Slovak Club for over 50 years. He also found much enjoyment in working on his camp at the Forks, reading and riding roller coasters. He also loved spending time at the lake to relax. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Norma of Florida, three children; Jeffrey Desrosiers and his companion Margaret Murphy of Durham, Julie Harvie of Jewett City, CT, and Jon Desrosiers of Lisbon Falls. Brud also leaves behind 4 brothers; Eugene of CT, Jerome of Bangor, Robert of Florida, Roger of Durham and 1 sister, Shirley Moore of Virginia as well as 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Church on Frost Hill Rd. in Lisbon on Wednesday July 18 at 11am with the Rev. Lionel Chouinard presiding.
