

AUBURN: Kathleen T. Meehan, 64, of Lisbon Falls passed away peacefully Saturday night at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice with her loving husband and close friends by her side. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 27, 1948 a daughter of the late William H. and Catherine (Keenan) Wall. She spent most of her childhood in Philadelphia before moving to New Jersey as a teenager where she finished school and was a graduate of Collingswood High School, class of 1966. In March of 1970 she met Paul A. Meehan. They flourished a relationship with each other and became married on April 29, 1972 in Oaklyn, NJ. From there on, due to Paul’s enlisted service in the Navy, the two of them enjoyed much travel together throughout the U.S. before settling down and residing in Lisbon Falls, ME. Kathy loved hockey games, from the early days when she would go see the Philadelphia Flyers all the way to the present where she and Paul along with friends were season ticket holders for the Portland Pirates. She also loved bowling, going to the theatre, traveling and playing cards and dominoes up at camp, especially the card game Golf. She will always be remembered for being a very organized and particular woman. She always kept everyone and everything in line and was always one step ahead. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 40 years, Paul A. Meehan of Lisbon Falls, her sister Barbara Roeder and her husband Stanley of Fairhope, AL as well as several cousins, Millie, David, Jacqueline and Mary Lou. She also leaves behind her very dear friend Sweda Hatley and her husband Richard and their family. Kathy and Sweda have been lifetime friends since the first grade. She will also be missed by her friends Claire Gallagher and her husband Edward, Ginny Robbins and her husband Larry of Costa Rica, Duke and June Miller and family of Ponca City, OK, her dear friends Kathy Cabaniss and Marian Phillips and longtime friend of Kathleen's family, Pauline Santoro and special friends Lisa and Daniel Moore of Brunswick and their daughters Jessica Moore of Lewiston and Khristine Rideout of Bowdoinham.
