Alice M. Gust, nee McEwen, age 88, beloved wife of the late Verne, devoted mother of Lynn (Dick) Pedigo, Doug (Arlene) Gust and Sherry Banks; loving grandmother of 6, great grandmother of 21 and great great grandmother of 1; dear sister of Stewart (Phyllis) McEwen and Phyllis McCartney; fond aunt and great aunt of many. Alice & Verne were born and raised in Canada, lived for a short time in Seattle and Los Angeles, then came to the Chicago area where they raised their family. Retired 35 year employee of Sears; active member of Trinity and Hickory Hills Presbyterian Churches, member Oak Lawn Senior Citizen’s Council. Long time member Elks Lodge #2254. Visitation Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 3-9 pm at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn. Lying in State Friday, February 18, 2011 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service 10:45 am at Hickory Hills Presbyterian Church, 8426 W. 95th St., Hickory Hills. Interment private.
