I’ll always remember Carol as such a welcoming and caring person who loved her art. Besides her love of creating art, I always felt encouragement from her with my own. I still think of her often and she is missed. May memories of her be a comfort to her friends and family.

I’ve known Carol for, I can’t even remember, how many years. We were both members of the Arboretum Artists’ Guild and the Downers Grove Artists’ Guild (DGAG) for many years. Carol and I served together on the DGAG board for numerous years. She was very involved in and a big part of anything she was participating in (even through her health struggles) and was extremely committed to whatever group she was a part of. I last saw Carol at at DGAG meeting in the Fall of 2020. She did look frail at that time but was still committed to fulfilling her DGAG board responsibilities. She was a good friend and will be dearly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her daughter, Laura, whom I’ve met numerous times, and with her whole family as they remember how very special she was to all of them.

Carol will be in our hearts and thoughts. She was tireless, helping wherever she could. I did accuse her of being an art guild junkie and she was! I've never known anyone else who was so involved in every group that she was a member of. Outside of the guilds she was a good friend and spent quality, fun time with many of us. It was a privilege when I could help her out with something as she helped so many. Now she's with Erv again, for eternity. The stars are shining on them!
