

Carol Shelton, 89, passed away May 18th, 2026. Born in Chicago, Il, and raised on North Honore Street. Carol graduated from Wells High School where she met Chester Shelton. Carol was an accomplished pianist participating in many recitals. One of Carol’s favorite compositions to play was “Flight of the Bumble Bee”.
In Nineteen-Fifty-Eight Carol and Chester were married; the following year they welcomed their first son, Michael. The next September they greeted their second son, Bryan. Shortly before moving back to Elmwood Park from Beaver Creek, Ohio, they embraced their third son, William. After moving from Elmwood Park to Franklin Park, they cradled their only daughter, Pamela. Lastly, they cuddled their only “Summer Baby”, Jeffrey.
Preceded in death by her parents, Charles "Carl" and Harriet, and her Loving Husband (Chester). Carol has a brother named Fredrick (Diane) of Streamwood. Carol leaves her loving Children, Michael (Sandy), Bryan (Darlene), William, Pamela, and Jeffrey. Also, Grandchildren Bryan (Kristine), Randy, Amanda (Paul), Jennifer, and four wonderful Grandchildren, Alex, Hailey, Hannah, and Henry, as well as her beloved niece Jennifer and nephew Mark.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 11:00AM to 2:00 PM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Ave, Lisle, IL 60532.
