My heartfelt sympathy to both Edna and Fritz.  Dorothy "Miss Manners" had a good heart and will be sorely missed. We shared many fun adventures on our working cruises. I know she will be in good hands on a cruise in heaven.

To my dear friend, Fritz...I wish I could have known Dorothy...she was beyond special, just from what you've told me about her.  And, I KNOW she was special, because she has your heart, your love, your spirit...your life.  Please know that you will always and forever have her in your heart and soul and now you have a most special guardian angel.  My prayers are with you, always, and may your precious Dorothy rest in peace.

So very shocked and saddened to hear of Dorothy's passing. My prayers are with her family.

I remember sharing 2 great elementary school years with Dorothy. We lived in the same neighborhood. Back then, she was a quiet, sweet girl that I could always count on to be a friend. I lost contact with her after we moved to Texas and was so pleased when we reconnected a few years ago online. I am truly saddened.

Dorothy was a truly dedicated worker, always there.....even if it was 3 am and she wasn't on storm duty.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

One of my greatest vacation memories was Dorothy and me in November of 2008, along with Karen and Joe Richmond in Las Vegas.  Donny and Marie, the Beatles Luv, and the Jersey Boys. Thanks for being my companion, Dorothy. You also taught me how to get great deals, was my Lead at LC2, and a good neighbor and Board member.  Our loss!!!

So sad to hear of Dorothy's passing. My condolences to her husband and family.

We are deeply saddened and pray for strength for you to get through this troubling time. There are no words to relieve the pain of losing a loved one, but be reminded of the friends and family that are here to help in any way possible. Our prayers go out to you and to God to watch over Dorothy.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Dorothy's passing and send all my love and hugs to you, Fritz.  Dorothy was such a special person and not only a customer to me, but a cherished friend.  I know she will be sorely missed by my former colleagues at ARCOS.  My deepest condolences.

Dorothy was one of those people you could always depend on no matter what the situation! Whether you were in need of advice, assistance on a project or on one the systems she had mastered a level of expertise you could only one day hope to achieve. 

I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to work with her on many projects over the years, spend time training hundreds of co-workers together and being more than just a co-worker but also a friend. We shared many conversations & laughs. 

Fritz & Edna, et al, know that Dorothy was a valued employee and asset to Exelon and will be greatly missed. My sincerest condolences to both the Schmidt and Mitrenga families. May you find peace remembering the good times and knowing how much she enjoyed her excursions. We were always talking about her next vacation adventure or cruise! I will miss her greatly!

My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of loss.  I met Dorothy several years ago when we both worked in Downers Grove.  We worked together at Braidwood and most recently in LC2.  She was a knowledgeable, professional and fun person. I'm sure you have many happy memories to reflect on.

Dorothy was a dear friend of mine.  We first met working together at the Exelon Nuclear Headquarters and then continued to work together at the Braidwood Nuclear Plant.  She was my travel companion and gambling buddy.  She was an intelligent woman who loved her husband Fritz, and was so proud of her nieces and nephews.  I extend my deepest sympathies to the Schmidt and Mitrenga families.  Dorothy was an incredible woman who will be deeply missed.  Rest in peace, my friend.

We respected the dedication and expertise she brought to ComEd, but she was also more than just a customer to me, she was a good friend.  We are all shocked here at ARCOS to hear of her passing and our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to know and work with Dorothy.  She definitely was someone who wanted to improve things for the next person that came along.  For our company, that meant guiding our product direction and annual user group events for which we are grateful.   For the utility industry, it meant simplifying the complex for everyone's benefit.  In some small way, she connected with every employee in our company.    She will be truly missed and we will keep Fritz and her family in our prayers.

 Dorothy was one of a kind. She was always willing to help and with a smile on her face. Mitrenga/Schmidt families I am so very sorry for your loss. Rest in peace Dorothy. You will be greatly missed.

Dorothy was a good friend and neighbor who gave of her time, energy and talents to the Swanbrooke community...she will be greatly missed.

Dorothy was a faithful co-worker and friend, a joy to be around, always willing to lend a helping hand. May memories give you strength and help you through the days ahead.

Dorothy will be missed more than any words can convey. Selfless, dedicated, determined, thorough - eminently competent...the list of words goes on and on and still don't sum it up. Understanding and caring, she was the glue holding many people and processes together. Keeper of birthdays and anniversaries, organizer of fêtes and celebrations, she made sure to acknowledge everyone around her while all the while shunning attention for herself. Simply irreplaceable.

Dorothy was a true professional as she cared about work and her co-workers.  I will fondly remember the time we spent in Braidwood Engineering.  It was some of the best time I had with Exelon.

It's been an honored to have known Dorothy as an wonderful coworker and someone that I will always remember. My heart goes out to the Mitrenga family.

Dorothy shared her expertise with countless people through training, support and as a subject matter expert at ComEd.  She was a wonderful person in every way and positively impacted the careers and lives of many people: employees, customers and those she encountered.  We will miss Dorothy.  Prayers to the family.
