

Eloisa F. Espinosa was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Eloisa will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Eloisa was born on March 4, 1937 at her parent's home in Acambaro, Guanajuato, Mexico. She was the daughter of Nazario & Guadalupe Ferreira and grew up in Acambaro, Guanajuato, Mexico.
Eloisa was raised with 3 siblings. She had an older brother Rafael, older sister Nicolasa & older brother Miguel. Eloisa was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
As a young girl, Eloisa had a number of interests. Like most children, she enjoyed playing and making up games. She was curious about the world around her and was often eager to explore it. Eloisa was an active child who took part in leisure baseball after school. In her spare time she liked to work on word searches and spend time with family & friends. Eloisa's memorable achievements included being top of her class. However, to Eloisa, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with her friends.
Always considered a “good” friend to those she knew, Eloisa enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during her lifetime. While growing up, some of her best friends were Socorro & Gloria Juarez, Inez & Noemi Merino and Carmela Espinosa. She loved and was loved by many, many people.
On October 16, 1960 Eloisa exchanged wedding vows with Juan Manuel Espinosa Razo at El Santuario de La Virgen de Guadalupe of Acambaro, Guanajuato, Mexico. Empathic and loyal, Eloisa was committed to making her new family happy.
Eloisa's worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Eloisa was blessed with two children: her son, Juan Manuel and her daughter Lilia. Another blessing for Eloisa was the gift of six grandchildren: Linda, Fatima, Alexis, Michelle, Bianca and Peter.
Eloisa also worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career as a Home Engineer, excelling in creating a loving and warm environment.
Eloisa enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were spending time with family and friends. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.
Eloisa found pleasure in sports. Recreational sports included tennis and walking. Eloisa was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed following her favorite events whenever she had the chance to do so. Tops on her list were tennis and ballroom dance.
Throughout her life, Eloisa was a doer and was always actively involved in professional and community organizations. In her later years, Eloisa was an active member of AARP and Club Campestre Erandeni.
Eloisa’s faith was important to her. She was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians for 5 years, as well as Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
Eloisa enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for her to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Favorite vacations included Acapulco, Cancun, Compeche, Isla Muieres, Puerto Vallarta, Bermuda, Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Venezuela, Panama, Hawaii, Orlando, New Orleans and cruising on Princess and Carnival Cruise lines.
When Eloisa’s retirement finally arrived in 1996, she was well prepared. Her new life involved relocating to Morelia, Michoacan where her dream house was built. In retirement, she found new pleasure in staying active in church and socializing as much as she could. Even in retirement, Eloisa continued to stay in touch with her old friends while making plenty of new acquaintances. Eloisa was active in her new community and felt fulfilled with the opportunities retirement offered her.
Eloisa passed away on March 11, 2013 at her son's home in Glendale Heights, IL. Eloisa fought a brave battle against cancer. She is survived by her husband Juan Sr., son Juan Jr., daughter Lilia and grandchildren Fatima, Alexis, Bianca, Linda, Michelle and Peter. Services were held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Eloisa's ashes will remain with her beloved husband Juan.
Simply stated, Eloisa was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Eloisa leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Eloisa F. Espinosa.
