

Richard Alan Rollins, age 71, of Woodridge, IL, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026 in Downers Grove, IL. He graduated from West Leyden High School in 1973. Richard served in the United States Army from 1974 until 1977 and then served in the Army Reserves from 1977 to 1980. He was stationed in Fort Dix and Germany, earning the medals of National Defense Service and Marksman M16. Richard was known for being an unshakeable Green Bay Packer fan and an avid sports fan enthusiast, able to put a sports almanac to shame with facts and trivia. He was also known for his machinist skills and his attention to detail, as well as his woodworking and home improvement hobbies, always needing to make sure everything was level and square. As a passionate biker, Richard also toured the United States with a goal of visiting all 50 states to which he fell short by only 3. Richard is survived by sons Gregory and Christopher (Amanda) and daughter Jeannette (Brian) Stehlin, along with his four grandchildren, Sophia, Abigail, Mikayla and Brian Jr., his brothers Larry (Camille) and Ron (Cindy), his sister Renee (Jody) Merrill, and his step-brothers Frank (Leone) Ryan, and Keith (Nina) Ryan, and his rescue Beagle mix, appropriately named, Lambeau. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert & Josephine and step-brother Timothy Ryan. May they all rest eternally in peace.
Visitation will be held at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Ave, Lisle, IL 60532, on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Service to take place at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 30, also at the Funeral Home. Interment Abraham Lincoln Cemetery.
