Robert E Pieczynski

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father Dr. Robert E. Pieczynski. He passed away peacefully at home in Montello, Wisconsin surrounded by family. Born to Edward and Virginia in Chicago, Illinois, he attended Mendel Catholic HS, St Procopius College and Loyola Dental School. Following Dental School, he joined the Air Force and was stationed at Ellsworth AFB in Rapid City, South Dakota, eventually settling with his wife Frances in Lisle, Illinois. There he started his dental practice which thrived for 45 years. In addition to running his practice, he taught Head and Neck anatomy and mentored prospective dentists.

He was a member of St Joan of Arc church in Lisle, Illinois for many years. Music, Reading, Bears, White Sox, fishing, boating, gardening, woodworking and Cigars and Brandy were his passions outside of work, and especially in his retirement. His great sense of humor, vast knowledge and ability to converse with anyone will be missed by many.

Dad was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Virginia Pieczynski, his brother William (Peggy), his wife Frances (nee Yackley) of 36 years and his loving partner Jan Eastlund. Dad is survived by his children Marty (Dawn), Bob (Maritza), Tom (Sharri), Julie Hartung (Bill), and Matthew (Tammy), and 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Friends and family will gather for a memorial visitation on Monday, May 15th, 2023 at Blake Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Avenue, Lisle, Illinois 60532 from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM with a funeral mass the following day on Tuesday, May 16th, 2023 at 10AM at St. Joan of Arc Church.
