

Rosita Gonzalez Movido, age 94, of Bartlett, Illinois to be home with the Lord on August 31, 2021 at the age of 94. She was born on March 26, 1927 to German and Mamerta Gonzalez in Samar, Philippines. Samar is the southern part of the Philippines where she grew up with 11 siblings. She taught elementary school for several years. She was married to Abdon Movido, an accountant and Bible teacher who went home to be with the Lord in 1994. They raised five children, Ben (Alicia), Sam (Anna), Elizabeth (David Fell), Grace and Miriam (Ernie Cabrera) in the admonition of the Lord. She has several grandchildren, Noel, Noemi, Debbie, Mario, Filipina, Luz, Malaya, Tim, Michael, Cromwell, Chris, Charmaine, Samantha and KC. She also has several great grandchildren.
Rose accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior as a young girl. She was active in their church and sang in the choir.
She and her husband immigrated to the United States in the 80s and eventually became naturalized citizens. They establish a scholarship fund at Foursquare Bible College and help several students graduate to become pastors she will be missed by both friends and relatives for being gracious with the generous spirit. Most of all she was a prayer warrior.
A prayer service for Rosita will be held Friday, September 3, 2021 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Avenue, Lisle, Illinois 60532. We will then process to Assumption Catholic Cemetery, 1S510 Winfield Road, Wheaton, Illinois 60189 for a graveside service at 11am. A memorial service will be held at church on September 17, 2021.
