

Audrey L. Greeley (nee Graser) of Little Rock passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 17, 2022. She was born in Milwaukee, WI on August 22, 1927 to Peter and Hattie Graser. Audrey graduated from Marquette University and earned a masters degree in social work from the University of St. Louis. Upon graduation she worked at County Hospital in Milwaukee.
On May 21, 1960, Audrey was united in marriage and family with James Z. Greeley at St. Monica Catholic Church in Whitefish Bay, WI, and became a loving mother to his four children, Barbara (Erich) Bodnar of NJ, Patricia (Chuck) Bradburn of WI, Peter Greeley of CA, Michael (Dotty) Greeley of CO. Their family expanded with two more children, Ann (Doug) Brann of KS, and Carol (Paul) Hopkins of DE.
The Greeleys relocated in 1974 to Little Rock, AR where Audrey was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church. A talented painter and an avid reader, Audrey was known for completing the Sunday New York Times crossword puzzle in ink. Our beloved mother was the center of our family and our father’s heart and soul until his passing in 1993.
In addition to her husband, Audrey is also predeceased by her parents, Peter and Hattie, her first husband, Dr. Thomas Budnick, her infant son, Thomas Budnick, Jr., and her sister, Carol Graser. She is survived by her brother Richard (Ginger) Graser as well as her six children. She was cherished by eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Audrey was a tremendous blessing to her family, an inspiration to her grandchildren, and a friend to all those lucky enough to have known her. We are eternally grateful to her wonderful caregivers for their loving care over the years.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church or a favorite charity over the years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 7, 2022, 10 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4000 N Rodney Parham Rd, Little Rock 72212.
