Deanna McDonald Swaffar, 87, of Fayetteville passed away April 9, 2025. She was born October 9, 1937 in Little Rock to the late Mary Elizabeth (Ligon) and Emmett Leonard Worsham, Jr. Deanna is now reunited in Heaven not only with her parents but also with her cherished Doberman pinscher, Remy.
Known for her quick wit, vibrant personality, and generous spirit, Deanna brought joy and laughter to everyone around her. She had a heart for others—always ready to lend a hand or drop everything to care for someone in need.
Deanna loved spending time with friends and family, especially over card games or bridge nights filled with laughter and playful competition. She was an avid fan of both the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Kansas City Chiefs, never missing a chance to cheer them on. Her elegant handwriting, warm presence, and jokes with family and friends will always be remembered with a smile.
She is survived by her children, Joe Thomas (Marguerite) Swaffar Jr., Barry Swaffar, and Susan D. Wise; her grandchildren, who affectionately called her “Grandy,” Conner, Canyon, Jacob, and Quinn; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
A graveside service will be Tuesday, April 15, 2025, 1:00 p.m., at Roselawn Memorial Park in Little Rock.
