

She was born Jan. 4, 1958, in Danville, Ill., the daughter of George Carl and Elisabeth Young Yehling. The family moved to Kansas City, Mo., in 1960, where she attended Calvary Lutheran School and Southwest High School, graduating in 1976.
She studied theater at the University of Kansas and was involved in community theater in the Kansas City area. She also was on the support staff at the Harry Truman Sports Complex, remaining an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals – and the KU athletic programs -- for life.
She became involved in ticketing for the State Ballet of Missouri/Kansas City Ballet and later was box office manager for the Indiana Repertory Theater.
She joined Ticketmaster in 1987, filling box-office and client-services management positions in Indianapolis, Kansas City and Cincinnati before moving to Little Rock, Ark., to head the box-office operation at Alltel/Verizon Arena in North Little Rock. Ellen was repeatedly recognized for the excellent quality of her work by clients in athletics, the arts and entertainment industries – including the likes of Melissa Ethridge and the Rolling Stones.
In addition to her professional duties, she served as a Girl Scout leader in Little Rock. She also was an active caver for several years with her family
She is survived by her daughter, Georgeanne Elisabeth Yehling of Little Rock, and her brother, Victor (Judith) Yehling of Rockford, Ill.; nephews Ian and Christian Yehling, also of Rockford; four great-nephews and a great-niece. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Rick Everton of Indianapolis, and her eldest brother George Carl Yehling III.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name with the Girl Scouts or with your favorite charity. A memorial gathering will be scheduled at a later date.
