James Blueford Hartnett, 90, of Little Rock transferred to the Church Triumphant on July 14, 2025. He was born November 17, 1934 in Lonsdale, Arkansas to the late Clarence Blueford and Mary Louise (Steely) Hartnett. In addition to his parents, James was welcomed into Heaven by his wife, Bettie Hartnett; son, Travis Michael Hartnett; and sister Doris Jean Townsend.
James was known for being a wonderful husband, father, father-in-law, and friend to everyone. He retired from Bale Chevrolet after 33 years and was a active member of the Mabelvale United Methodist Church. In his younger years, James spent over 20 years being an active member of the Boy Scouts Club with his sons. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, playing jigsaw puzzles and watching cowboy movies.
Survivors include his son, Stephen Hartnett; daughter-in-law, Betty Hartnett; sister, Allene Dunaway; and a host of extended family and friends.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 18, 2025 at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander.
The family wants to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Little Rock for their excellent care to James over the years.
