

Michael was born in Fargo, North Dakota, but relocated to Little Rock during his childhood. He graduated from Little Rock Catholic High School, where he played football, then attended Southwestern at Memphis, and subsequently earned an Associate of Arts degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management at Hinds County Community College (Mississippi).
Michael enjoyed a long and varied career in the food and beverage service industries, as waiter, bartender, cook, caterer, restaurant owner, club manager, and Whole Foods grocery team member. His considerable knowledge, acquired by study and work experience, made him a valued resource for customers and coworkers. He understood and respected team-based effort, and loved to talk food and drink.
Michael’s charm was effortless and entertaining. He was blessed with friends who became family and now miss the enduring pleasure of his company.
The family thanks Arkansas Heart Hospital for their good care. Michael's ashes will be interred at Calvary Cemetery, Little Rock. The Rite of Committal with Final Commendation will be delivered graveside on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., by Monsignor Lawrence Frederick, Rector, Catholic High School for Boys. The cemetery's main entrance is located at 3115 West Charles Bussey Avenue (72204). A post-burial (requiem) Mass will be offered at a date to be determined. Friends and acquaintances are encouraged to contribute a donation in Michael’s memory to the animal-rescue organization of your choice. And to lift a glass in celebration of a life well lived.
