Lucille Anne Jackson, known to most as “Luci”, 81, of Little Rock passed away December 12, 2025. She was born In Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Henry and Henrietta Weber. In addition to her parents, Luci was welcomed into Heaven with opens arms by her siblings, Sandra Weber, Margaret (Tom) Young, and James Weber; and nephew, Rick Benedict.
Luci earned a Master’s degree in Mathematics, a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, and later completed her Doctorate in Education at the University of Fayetteville. She was a proud member of Delta Epsilon Sigma and dedicated her professional life to serving children and families, most recently working with Centers for Youth and Families, and through her licensure with the Department of Education.
A devoted member of St. Edward’s Catholic Church for over 50 years, Luci faithfully served as a sacristan and tutored children in English. Her service extended far beyond her parish, as she supported numerous charitable organizations, including LRCC, Save the Children, Subiaco Abbey, the Van, St. Joseph, and countless others.
Luci was a selfless and wonderful woman whose quiet dignity spoke louder than words. Smart, giving, and deeply devoted to others, she loved children and dedicated her life to nurturing, teaching, and supporting them. Luci was the glue that held her family together: steadfast, compassionate, and feisty when it mattered most. Above all, she loved and supported her daughter in every way possible, offering unwavering encouragement, strength, and grace.
Those left to cherish the memories of Luci include her daughter, Monica (Chris) Wittenburg; ex-husband, Milton Jackson; siblings, Barbara Weber, Judi Benedict, and Kenneth Weber; sister-in-law, Rosie Weber; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family that will miss her dearly.
We rejoice in the certain knowledge that she is now with the Savior, that she loved, and so faithfully served all her life. Her memory will be preserved in these three things: faith, hope, and love, but the greatest of these is love 1 Corinthians 13:13
