Mary Louise Burris

Mary Louise Burris died July 28, 2025 in Hot Springs, AR after a stroke at age 91. She was born March 30,1934 at home in Okolona, AR. She moved to Little Rock at age 12. She married Rayburn DeWayne Burris on April 24, 1952. Rayburn died October 24, 2018.

Mary and Rayburn had three children, Carol, Wayne and Gary Burris.

Mary moved to Hot Springs full time in 2018 and remained living by herself until last week.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Clarice Burton Conway Osborn and J.E Osborn (Ozzie) and her youngest son, Gary Burris.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Carol and her husband, Myron Williams and their two children, Lisa and Dawn Williams.

Mary is also survived by her son, Wayne Burris and his wife Diane Burris and her children and grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her sweet sister Sarah LaNita Finch and her husband Carlton Finch and their children: Sandra King and Travis Finch.

Mary enjoyed holidays with her relatives including Jon and Atina King and their children, Parker and Elliott. Also present often were Justin and Lonnie Finch and their children Sarah Finch and Charlie Glasz and Ella Miranda Finch.

Mary was a wonder woman. She helped (ran) Burris Body Shop and many rental properties. She mowed many miles of grass with a push mower. She could move anything with a little red wagon. She survived a tornado and the raising of three children who all adored her. She was everyone’s best friend, a great cook and perfect homemaker. She had a good soul.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from noon till 1pm at Griffin Leggett Healy and Roth on 12th street in Little Rock. Burial is private. No gathering afterwards.
