Rock, Arkansas has died February 28, 2021, at 101 years of age. Mary was born Mary Kathryn Bechtel in Kansas City, Missouri on November 18, 1919 to Mary F. Lehane Bechtel and Harry Bechtel.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Kermit Maurice Converse and sister Ruth Lingerfelt. Mary was the matriarch of a large and loving family and will be missed by each of them. She left daughter Mauricette Averett of Cabot Arkansas, son Maurice Converse and wife Linda of Robstown, Texas, son David Converse and wife Martha of North Little Rock, Arkansas, and daughter Kathleen Good and husband Mike of North Little Rock, Arkansas, 14 Grandchildren, 35 Great Grandchildren, and 30 Great, Great Grandchildren.
Mary worked and retired from JC Penney’s in North Little Rock. Mary was a devout Catholic and belonged to St. Anne’s Catholic Church on Remount Road since 1973. A Mass will be held for her at St. Anne’s Church at 10 am on March 4, 2021 burial will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Cemetery on Landers Road.
