Nina T Bowers

Nina Fay Tipton Bowers, age 88, passed away October 19, 2015. She was born on June 18, 1927 in Morganton, Arkansas, to Archie and Beulah Tipton. A longtime resident of Little Rock, she lived for the past 2 years in Dallas to be near her two daughters and two of her granddaughters.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was devoted to her family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening. She was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock for over 20 years.

She was married for 47 years to Edward A. Bowers who passed away on October 20, 2006.

Nina was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Freda M. Tipton and Erma Nell Winkler. She is survived by her children, Barbara Baker and her husband Alan of Dallas, John W. Short and his wife Debbie of Little Rock, and Kelly Claibourne and her husband Charlie of Garland, Texas, five grandchildren, Jessica Baker of Dallas, Rebecca Eby of Richardson, Texas, Chris Short of Little Rock, Lindsey Boone of Newark, Delaware and Matthew Short of Little Rock, plus 5 great grandchildren.
