

Ralph O. McDaniel, 82, died at his home on Christmas Eve, surrounded by his family and close friends.
Ralph McDaniel was born on November 15, 1943 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a lifelong resident of the East End Community. He grew up at the family homestead, McDaniel Dairy Farm, at the Saline County/Pulaski County Line. He graduated from Fuller High School in 1961 and then attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He initiated his real estate career in 1971, joining his mother, Julia Mae McDaniel, a pioneering Realtor that founded McDaniel Realty Company is 1958. In 1974 Ralph opened a second office in Little Rock, Arkansas, McDaniel & Company Realtors. Ralph stressed the importance of professional education and obtained numerous professional designations including the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB), and a Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI). Ralph was President of the Little Rock Realtors Association in 1988. He served on the Legislative Committee for the Arkansas Realtors Association where he was also a Realtor Political Action Committee Trustee (RPAC). In 1979 Ralph was appointed to serve on the board for the East End Water Department where he served until 2019. Ralph was an avid golfer and won many tournaments while enjoying this sport. He was a member of the East Saline Hunting Club in Okolona, Arkansas, for over 50 years, where he loved running his pack of beagles.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Oris Olen and Julia Mae McDaniel, and a sister, Oris Marie Reed. He is survived by his wife, Judy, his son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Kristie McDaniel, his granddaughter Kennedy McDaniel and her fiancé Casey Moon, a sister, Judy Long, his brother-in-law, Tommy Reed and his wife Alice, and his loyal dog, Max.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 at East Union Baptist Church with visitation at 10:00, and a service of remembrance at 11:00, with Bro. Paul Roberts officiating. Interment will be at Salem Cemetery on Arch Street in Little Rock. Arrangements are with Griffin and Leggett Funeral Home, Little Rock, Arkansas.
