She was a member of Central Nazarene church, where she was always a Godly servant. She worked in the nursery for multiple years. She always loved children and spent many of her days taking care of her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She spent every holiday and birthday baking cookies and cupcakes for her daughters classroom and the church.
Our Mother was also known for her Sunday Dinners. She loved to cook and bake for her family. Our favorite deserts were probably her PIES! She made the best Karo Nut Pies you ever tasted. Our other favorite was coconut meringue with the tallest meringue you could imagine!! Our dad was known for taking a pinch from her beautiful flaky crust before the pie was served.
She was always active and hardworking. She was the matriarch of the family. Ruby helped her husband operate his Tee Vee repair service for 12 years. She answered calls and did all the bookwork while taking care of the house and two babies.
She later worked at Kellwood Company in the office until it closed. She went on to work at Democrat Printing and Lithographing. Her last place of employment was C and C Electric.
Some of her hobbies included sewing, bowling and making flower arrangements. She always enjoyed making creative projects for her children and others.
She will be dearly missed by her two daughters and all of her family and friends. Funeral services will be at 12:00 o' clock Wednesday, March 17th at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth 5800 West 12th Street with Pastor Thomas Williams officiating.
