Sharniece Renea Hughes

Sharniece Renea Hughes, 35, of Little Rock Arkansas, was promoted to rest on Monday, September 5, 2016. A simple, nurturing spirit, with a servant’s heart, she was dauntless in her approach to her family, her faith, and her work. Sharniece achieved much in her few years. After graduating from McClellan High School, she was celebrated for her undergraduate work, being published in many professional journals for her study in Criminal Justice. She also worked at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in the Human Resources department, was a behavioral specialist for Pinnacle Pointe, and founded her own business, Rock’n Flavors. She was actively involved in the Order of the Eastern Stars and the Junior League of Little Rock. But of all that she gave so selflessly to others, most noteworthy was her sacrifice for family and friends. She loved her family and shared a special bond with her father. She especially adored her children. She lived to give an abundant life to her girls. Left to cherish her legacy of laughter and love are her two precious daughters, Sadia Rivers-Hughes and Madison Smith; her parents Blanche Elaine Spencer and Lou Gary Hughes; her sisters LaShannon Spencer and Brittney Hughes; her adoring Aunts Verochia Peters and Shannon Williams, and anyone fortunate enough to call her friend. A visitation will be held in her honor on September 12, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth, 5800 W. 12th Street, Little Rock AR. Her celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Gaines Street Missionary Baptist Church of Little Rock on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 with Pastor J. Barrington Minix officiating. She will be laid to rest immediately following at Pinecrest Cemetery, 7401 Hwy 5 N, Alexander AR 72002. Following the burial, the family will be receiving guests with a repast at The University Park Adult Leisure Center at 6401 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, AR 72204.
