Just read about Barry’s passing.  I worked with Barry for twenty nine years at Fairmount. Just a great guy and a good sport. We had many laughs together. 

May he be resting in the sweetest peace!

Thank you forever for the lessons and passing grades you gave me during biology my freshman year at Heritage Junior High School. If not for them, I wouldn't have been able to  receive the lessons you gave me and the memories we had together on Livingston's Jersey Hills Conference football champions of 1969. Enjoy your Heavenly reward, my friend. A candle will be lit for you at the Grotto of the University of Notre Dame.

Barry & I have known each other for close to 80 years as we belonged to the same synagogue. As teenagers we became good friends & spent many a good time together. I met Iris when they were dating & then after they sold their house in Springfield they became our good neighbors. We’ve spent many a good time together, even sat in our driveway during Covid . Enjoyed great company with Iris & Barry . Barry was a special person, working , sharing wonderful days with many people. He loved talking about the past & his super family.  He will be greatly missed & May his life be for a blessing to all who knew him. Shalom Barry!

Barry was a truly wonderful man. He gave me my first job and was a kind and helpful boss for 5 years at fairmont. He always greeted everyone with a smile and was always generous. I recently found the recommendation letter that he wrote me for college recently. Some of my best friends are still from my summers working at Fairmont, now 15 years later. 

The 4 Marconi kids (all of whom worked for him!) send our love and prayers, we were trading Barry stories at dinner last night :)

Barry was a fine person who cared deeply about the Swimming Program  and his efforts made at Fairmount Country Club.   Our children looked forward to their swim team and day camp activities and Barry managed the pool effectively for fun and safety.  He was a gem and created great memories for us.  Rest in Peace.

Barry was a wonderful person. We have such fond memories of him. Our condolences to his family.

The Boccella Family send their deepest condolences to the Segal Family. Mr. Segal, “Barry” as we all knew him was a kind and gracious human being. He truly was part of the FCC  family and loved by all. It was always fun hearing him announce the names of the Boccella sisters, Liz and Annie, during the swim meets. The Small family had a long and memorable relationship with Barry!!!   He was my Science teacher and homeroom teacher at Livingston High School. He coached my brother Hank in football.  
We then reunited at Fairmount for many years.  Barry took great care of the facilities and all of the pool members.   We will always remember his kindness and of course, his announcements during all the swim meets.

Barry made such an impact on the lifeguards of FCC. For many years, he was the best boss and fostered a sense of fun and community for all who spent their summers working at FCC. Barry will be fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to have known him. Rest in peace <3

Deepest condolences from the Alcorn family of FCC in Chatham.  We loved ‘Mr. Segal’ and our 3 children respected him.  He was a wonderful role model of courtesy and caring.  Our children will always hold him in high esteem.  Mr. Segal (Barry to us) was an incredible man - he made a  positive impact on all of our lives.  He always spoke of his two amazing daughters and we saw the love and great pride he had for all of his family.   God Bless you.  We think of you often and we remember you always.  Xx

Barry…..rest in peace old friend. You were the nicest man to the Members and their kids at Fairmount CC when you were the Manager. I am sure that you were a positive influence on many kids when you were teaching and coaching. Heaven has a place saved for you Barry.

I remember Barry as a Volleyball coach, teacher, and friend.
He had a great attitude as a coach and teacher. He let me teach to his classes once. He often told me stories how he coached football with Jake. And he was so proud of his children and grandchildren.

Mr Segal. You taught me a lot. Fair sportsmanship ethics and decentcy.  You will be missed. I will miss you. I am happy we re connected last year.  I will see you in the better place
