Bert is survived by his two children Janet Rubin and Marty Goldin; six grandchildren Daniel Rubin (Tracey), Eric Rubin (Talia), Rachel Rubin, Melissa Goldin, Joshua Goldin (Rachel), and Aaron Goldin; and three great grandchildren (Benjamin Rubin, Emily Rubin, and Juliet Goldin).
Bert and his wife Estelle were married for 68 years until her passing in 2021. He attended Tilden High School and graduated from City College.
Bert was a CPA in private practice until his late 80s. He commuted to his office near the old MOMA from Jericho, Long Island for many years. He had a lot of energy and always liked to be on the move—to take long walks, drive, travel, socialize, and meet people from Brooklyn wherever he went. He had sailing, bowling, and skiing phases, and he really loved history, reading biographies, and watching the news.
We like to think that he is now reunited with Estelle, his lifelong friends (they met on the block in Brooklyn when they were 4), and all the other people that loved him in his life who preceded him on his journey.
