
Deborah D. Searle of Livingston NJ, passed away surround by her family on February 25, 2013, at the age of 63. Debbie was a devoted and caring wife, mother, grandmother and is survived by her husband Bernard Searle , daughters Deanna (Searle) Goldstein and Shira Searle, son David Searle, grandchildren Marlie and Taylor Goldstein of Livingston and brother Harry Berger of Palmerton, PA. Services were held on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Funeral Home in Livingston. Debbie was born on June 15, 1949 in New York City, to Theodore and Diane Berger. She grew up in Jersey City and moved to Livingston, NJ, where she attended Livingston High School. After graduating high school, she continued her undergraduate degree at University of Connecticut with a major in Physical Therapy. While at UCONN she met her husband, Bernard Searle and they married June 13, 1970. They both continued their education together at Cornell University where Debbie received her Masters Degree. Debbie specialized in Pediatric Physical Therapy and finished off her years working at Lake Drive School and Springfield Public schools. She helped and touched the lives of all the children, parents, and teachers that she worked with. In addition to being an amazing therapist and wonderful person, she loved the theater, music, and being outdoors. She was a vibrant women who loved skiing, swimming, and traveling especially to her favorite summer spot, Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. She was a creative, inspirational, and selfless person who loved spending time with her family and friends. Memorial contributions can be made to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital for Ovarian Cancer Research and to Temple Beth Shalom’s Education Fund in Livingston, New Jersey.
