
Dr. Harold Bieber, 90, of Livingston passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 at his home. Graveside services will be held at Wellwood Cemetery, Pinelawn, New York at 11am on Sunday, October 29, 2017. Arrangements were made by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman, 973-422-0600.
Born and raised in New York, Harry lived in Livingston for 57 years. He graduated with honors from Townsend Harris High School, received his Baccalaureate in Chemical Engineering from The City College of New York, and his Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Chemical Engineering from The Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute.
Following positions at Charles of the Ritz and American Cyanamid, Harry joined Hoffman-La-Roche in 1956 where he remained for 38 years, becoming a renowned expert in the design of vitamin extraction plants throughout Western Europe and the United States.
Along with Dorothy, his beloved wife of 60 years who passed away in 2010, Harry loved the beach, film festivals, photography and was an enthusiastic world traveler. Harry shall be fondly remembered by his children, Ellen Bieber, Barbara and Bill Gedney, and David Bieber, his grandchildren, Cooper and Joe McManus, Hayley and Ryan Dichter and Eliza Gedney, and his great grandchildren Elle McManus, Cameron McManus and Brady McManus.
