Irwin Cohen, 85, of Florham Park, NJ, passed away on January 22, 2026.
Irwin was a proud Navy veteran who continued to serve well after his years of active duty by volunteering as a Chancellor and Commander with the Jewish War Veterans, as well as a Chaplain of the American Legion. Loyal, generous, and full of gratitude to those around him, Irwin worked for 47 years at the Automatic Switch Company in Florham Park before retiring and working part time in customer support at the Meadowlands arena.
A devoted father to Nancy and Greg, father-in-law to their spouses Tzvi Allen and Lisa, a doting grandfather to seven grandchildren, and most of all a loving husband to Ellie for more than 62 years, Irwin will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 1pm at the Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ 07039. Services will be livestreamed. The family will be receiving guests from12:15pm-12:45pm. The burial will follow at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, 189 Gill Ln, Woodbridge Township, New Jersey, on January 27, 2026.
