Joel Howard Shulman, 66, of Bayonne, NJ passed away on Wednesday July 3, 2019 at his home. Joel was the President of Congregation Ohav Zedek in Bayonne for over 25 years and an integral part of the Bayonne and Bradley Beach Jewish Communities.
As co-owner of Majora, LLC (formerly Shulman Fuel Co.), Joel was well known for his expertise in the field of home heating systems and plumbing, having clients who were appreciative of his expertise across the state of New Jersey.
He was a generous and selfless person who displayed a unique ability to find favor with all who met him. Joel had a great love of books and old movies. He lived life to the fullest and was comfortable in life when he was helping others. Joel enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and visiting with them In California.
Joel is survived by his loving wife Sharon; his parents Arthur and Marilyn Shulman of Bayonne, NJ; his children J.D., of Teaneck, NJ; Lisa Shulman Korlansky of Los Angeles, CA and her husband and children; and Rebecca of Brooklyn; his sister Fern Dembner of Springfield, NJ; his brothers Ira Shulman of Hillside, NJ & Charlie Shulman of Skokie, IL; and his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.
