John Samuel Cataldo

A long time resident of East Hanover, NJ, John was born on August 20, 1927 in Belleville, NJ, to parents, Salvatore Cataldo and Mary Russo Cataldo.

John served in the United States Army and worked for SS White Dental for over 40 years. When John wasn’t working, he loved being around his family. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing with his friends and would spend countless summers down the shore and visiting Atlantic City.

John was preceded in death by his adoring wife, Elizabeth, and daughter, Carol Zoni.

John is survived by his sister, Rosalie Ferrerra, his daughter Diane Luizza and son-in-laws John Luizza, and Bart Zoni. John leaves behind his grandchildren Bart and Ania Zoni, John and Kristen Luizza, Chris and Sam Luizza, and Vincent and Jennifer Luizza. John was also a great-grandfather to Natalia and Drew Zoni, Jake and Ryan Luizza, and Penelope Luizza. Additionally, John leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

A viewing/visitation is scheduled for Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm, at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, NJ 07039.

The funeral mass will be on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 10:30am at St. Raphael Roman Catholic Church, 346 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, NJ 07039.
