Born in Paterson, NJ, Judy grew up in New Milford and spent many summers in Highland Lakes and the shore, with family and friends.
She was a graduate of Hackensack High School, and Fairleigh Dickinson University. She resided in Livingston where she worked and raised her family. She enjoyed a fulfilling career as a dedicated teacher at Our Lady of Sorrows in South Orange, and later at Aquinas Academy in Livingston, for 35 years. She was a lively and passionate teacher, who enjoyed each and every one of her students.
She was a moderator for Student Council, board member of The Association of Catholic Student Council (T.A.C.S.C.), Teacher Representative of the Aquinas Academy Parent Guild, facilitator for Rainbow For All God’s Children and received the Teacher Recognition Award presented by the Archdiocese of Newark in 1994.
After retirement, she remained active as the Vice President for the East Hanover Senior Citizens and a volunteer at the Livingston Public Library. She was independent, outgoing, loved the beach, traveling, shopping and her dog Molli.
Above all, her main joy and love in her life was her family and dear friends. She was happily married for 47 years to the late Peter R. Insabella, Jr, devoted mother to four wonderful children: Dawn Morano, Mario Insabella, Beth Insabella Walsh and Mia Insabella. She cherished her eight grandchildren: Peter and Paul Insabella, Michael, Garrett and Taylor Morano, Avery, Cameron and Graham Walsh, and her great grandchildren Everly, Mack and Capri Insabella.
