Born and raised in Newark, Judy graduated from Weequahic High School and the University of Michigan. She went on to a very successful and rewarding teaching career at the Marshall School in South Orange, at Congregation B’nai Jeshurun in Livingston, and for many years at the Solomon Schechter Day School in West Orange. Her boundless enthusiasm in the classroom inspired many students over many decades. After retirement, she enjoyed attending theatre and the opera, traveling, getting together with her many friends, and being with her beloved family – especially her children and grandchildren - at any opportunity.
Judy raised her family in West Orange with Fred, her husband of 59 years (deceased), and always found time to attend her kids and grandkids many sporting events and music/theatre performances. She was a proud member of Oheb Shalom Congregation in South Orange.
Judy leaves behind her adored family. Her sons, Rob and his wife Jane, Andrew and his wife Jennifer, Eric and his wife Nancy; and her grandchildren: Alex, Lily, Oliver, Emma, Sam, Delaney and Theo.
Donations in Judy’s memory may be made to Oheb Shalom Congregation in South Orange, or to the West Orange Public Library in West Orange.
