Lawrence Marc Davidson, known as Larry, was born in Hartford, CT in 1943 to Jack and Irene (Gordon) Davidson. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1965 and received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn in 1969. He was an ophthalmology resident at Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital. Dr. Davidson spent his entire career in private practice in Verona, NJ and settled with his family in North Caldwell, NJ. Providing outstanding medical and surgical eye care to his community was a source of immense pride and satisfaction for him.
Dr. Davidson is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marian (nee Kolodny) as well as his three children: Kevin (Jennifer) Davidson, Prof. Jamie (Portia) Davidson, and Dr. Stefanie (Joseph) Davidson; and three grandchildren: Natalie Kist, Samuel Davidson, and Amihan Davidson.
Shiva will be held at the family residence on Monday from 5-8 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Larry’s name may be made to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, or to a charity of your choice.
